Best with a tucked shirt
The higher waist looks great with a linen shirt tucked in. The side adjusters hold well and the pleats give it a proper old-school look without feeling costume-like.

I am between sizes and the adjusters helped dial in the fit. The fabric has a soft hand and wrinkles less than I expected.

Clean waist, great drape
The Gurkha waistband is the reason I bought these and it looks even better in person. The rise sits properly at the waist, the pleats give room without looking baggy, and the leg tapers neatly over loafers.

Sharp without a belt
Really like that these do not need a belt. The side tabs make the fit easy to adjust and the fabric feels cooler than normal cotton trousers. I will hem them slightly for a cleaner break.

No. The waistband is a wraparound self-fabric band with side-tab adjusters. It is designed to be worn without a belt.
